A space for learning, discovering and exploring Shibari

The courses will be taught in 3-hour modules, around a theme or level specified in advance. You can each time find in the course program the different points that will be covered there. In general, there will be time reserved for the pattern, time for its application within guided exercises, but also time reserved for creativity and free practice. The proposed exercises will first be demonstrated by your hosts, among themselves, but also sometimes on volunteers.

With consent at the heart of our concerns, we will always emphasize that no exercise is mandatory if it seems too outside of your risk profile. Respect for everyone's limits will be understood, and if of course, surpassing oneself can be an integral part of rope practice, you are your own guarantor on what you wish to explore or not within the Workshop: So never hesitate to contact us when you feel the need.

Each exercise will leave, after demonstration, a practice time for the participants: this can be a single time, or a time split in two with the possibility for those wishing to switch. When it is estimated that the overall dynamic of the exercise is coming to an end, you will be asked to untie and respect this timing for the good collective management of the group and the course.

Apart from introductory courses where equipment may be offered to you, you will be asked to come with your appropriate ropes and scissors. However, carabiners or straps can be loaned. Classes are given excluding any nudity and any other BDSM practice, Atelier Mae aims to be a neutral place for practice and learning of Shibari.
